Holiday / XMas Cards to clients…do I include a business card? Just include our signed name?
judim7 answers:
Either way.
If the inside of your card has the company name printed, just have everyone sign it.
If no company name printed, include a card. That way they’ll know who it is from.

How do you apologize for never getting the thank you cards out from wedding?
Yes it’s pathetic, we gutted and remodeled our whole condo (in the middle got married) and were pre-packed to move a month after our wedding from CT to CA and never did, everything is still in high stacks of boxes in the garage, we never unpacked because we thought we were moving for business and it kept getting put off, my husband took a new job and we are finally moving locally in 2 weeks ( a year later)…
I want to send our an xmas card with some pics of the people from the wedding (the photog took great couples pics of almost everyone) with a card and a typed general letter to all. How do I lightly say I’m sorry?
I should clarify, I will send separate thank you cards from the christmas greeting letter. How do I sincerely apologize for the delay? I don’t need to hear the lectures of why I am bad, I just want to hear your solutions. Thanks!
judim7 answers:
Better late than never is the rule on thank you cards for such an important event as a wedding. Look at it this way: No one had to go to the trouble and expense of buying you a gift, so separate thank you cards and the postage is minute.

Christmas card ideas for older brother?
Funny things to put on christmas card for brother?
I’m 13, and… lets just say he’s a lot older than me.
I’m writing him a christmas card from scratch, and I need some ideas.
They have to be funny, but NOT in a vulgar way. e.e
He’s into finance and business, and he’s got a good sense of humor.
I’d like it to be well-meant though, like saying “I love you bro” in a cheesy way. n.n
Ideas?
Thank you in advance to any answers!

You should give him 100$ in monopoly money

what’s the best words for a business holiday card?
holiday card text for a business christmas card
judim7 answers:
I would stay away from Christmas unless you advertise yourself as a Christian firm. Even then, you are safer with Happy Holidays or Season’s Greetings, for the purpose of including a happy new year wish.
Be sure to thank your clients for their business. You could not be successful without them.

Chris asks…
Will any major stores or retailers go out of business if Christmas pre-sales don’t accumulate?
Early this year there was word about a Wal*Mart and Amazon war over prices — will the major retailers battle over the consumer sales to such an extent that different corporations will show losses that lead to national bankruptcy? Will Americans put shopping on hold and presume that with gift cards and slashed prices they can get the ultimate deals on the Saturday (day After Christmas) the 26th of December? Thanks for posting — 10 points for best analysis and interpretation
judim7 answers:
Target is safe given its up-scale demographics; Wal*Mart will pressure its suppliers as far as what it managed to sell at bargain-basement prices; AMAZON is the one to face loan and operations bankruptcy — it is the one that might “go under” without yet another federal bailout. . .

When is the best time to send out “Seasons Greetings” cards?
It’s for our business customers…I found some un-used cards in my desk drawer that are for wishing people happy holidays and all….should I wait until after Thanksgiving to send these out? We always forget or either send them to late every year…and I’m trying to be pro-active this year. But them folks will trip out on us if we send them too early…So….What do you think? Before or after Thanksgiving?
judim7 answers:
I think you should send them so they ARRIVE after Thanksgiving. If you have time to send them out the week of Thanksgiving, they won’t get to your clients office until the following week. If you don’t, send them out the week after Thanksgiving. This way you’ll beat the rush and won’t have to worry about your envelopes getting lost in the mail.
I wouldn’t wait too long after that. Remember many people and businesses display their Holiday cards. It is kinda like free advertising for your company to have the card sitting out with your name on it. Don’t send them late!
Hope this helps,

How can I get out of an internet rate hotel reservation?
I booked a room at a Holiday Inn and when I had a change of plans and tried to cancel a month and a half out they wouldn’t refund my money claiming that I recieved a special internet rate! I called the hotel twice and the receptionist transferred me to accounting where I got a voicemail both times and no return call.
I was in a hurry and probably missed the fine print. Still, not refunding a customers money is just bad business! I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and told my credit card company not to pay the charges but I’m still worried I’ll get a bill for 500 bucks if I don’t show.
Does anyone have a similar story? What was the end result? Please advise!!
judim7 answers:
I own a motel and get a lot of internet bookings. If someone needs to change or “cancel” their res I always refer them back to the web site they made it on. I have never heard of an internet booking site not refunding your money. I would contact the Holiday Inn corporate office and perhaps they can get the problem taken care of for you. Just a little money saving tip-calling the motel direct may help you save money. These booking sites make high commissions and you don’t talk to someone directly, they increase the price of the actual rate the motel itself offers. Hope this helps!

should i put a business card in holiday cards?
Is it tacky to mail a corporate holiday card with my business card in it?
judim7 answers:
I agree with Margaret. If these are people who have already dealt with your company then I think it is tacky. Save the business card for a different mailing out.

Chris asks…
Important to send Holiday Cards in business?
Should I send them to clients i want to work with in 2008 that I met only once and got the business card from them?
judim7 answers:
Send them to as many current and prospective clients you can think of. Include a business card and write a personal note.
It’s a great way to keep your name, and your card, in front of them.
